Owon is the BEST! My family and I are forever thankful to have had such an amazing person lovingly guide us through such a sacred journey to birth our son. We had our first consultation when I was 6 weeks, after we knew without a doubt we wanted a home birth, and my husband I left that consultation like “yuppp she’s the one!”. We are extremely picky people only wanting the best of the best in all things for our life, and from that first consultation Owon felt like “home” and a kindred spirit. Throughout my entire pregnancy she perfectly guided us in all the wisdom we needed while simultaneously allowing us to be in charge and sovereign for how we wanted things to be/go. I never felt like I was “going to the doctor” when I had a checkup. Although very professional, it was lovely to just feel like I was going to see a friend and not feeling like I was in this cold hospital like environment.
When I was time for us to birth at home, Owon and her team arrived in divine timing and I just felt extremely safe and free to portal our son through with her loving guidance. She never pressured me to do anything that went against my natural intuition or physiological birth and to have that experience is a magic I am forever grateful for. Post birth, her and her team adequately cleaned up everything, (with her recently being pregnant herself and still holding space for us); along with lovingly delivering my placenta and made sure my husband and I were informed and comfortable with our newborn and he was latching great before leaving our home. I even got my placenta encapsulated and some extra goodies we weren’t expecting. Which goes to show the genuine and authentic love Owon puts into her “work”. And we weren’t completely left on our own as we had checkups with her for my son and I up to postnatal. Literally couldnt have been more divine and perfect if she tried. Where do I start? From the moment I met Owon I felt a deep knowing that she would take care and support me on my motherhood journey. As soon as we started talking about midwifery and home birth, I knew I was in the right space.
Not only did she deliver a beautiful baby girl into my arms, she listened to my experience, offered guidance, and shared her knowledge and wisdom as a traditional midwife. Her energy was always calm and gentle, with a certain spark and confidence to get the job done. I felt safe. She took the time to get to know my daughter and husband, and I hope we will always keep in touch.
We also had the support of another midwife at my home birth + Owon’s assistant, Alys, who was wonderful and present every step of the way. The community these women have created together as birth-workers is really inspiring. We need to continue to nurture this ancestral practice because birth doesn’t have to be scary.
This was my second birth. My first birth was in the hospital. It was not traumatic, but was far from what I had planned. I wanted to do things different this time and with Owon by my side, we did just that. She was proactive with my health and nutrition leading up to the birth, making sure I did everything possible to prepare for the big event :) Thank you, Owon.

At Greenwood Midwifery and Integrative Health, we are committed to providing transparent and comprehensive midwifery care. Our midwifery care package is priced at $5,000, which covers all aspects of prenatal, labor, birth, and postpartum care up to 6 weeks.
This fee includes:
A detailed initial consultation and ongoing prenatal visits.
24/7 on-call support from week 37 until the birth of your baby.
Continuous support during labor and delivery.
Postpartum visits to ensure a healthy and smooth transition for mother and baby.
Nutritional counseling and herbal support tailored to your needs during pregnancy.

At Greenwood Integrative Health and Midwifery, we prioritize safety and respect for the client's wishes and preferences during birth. In the event that a transfer to a hospital is necessary, we will accompany the client and advocate for their wishes as much as possible. We work collaboratively with hospital staff to ensure a smooth transition and will continue to provide support and care throughout the birth and postpartum period, regardless of the setting.

As a midwife, I believe in the importance of personalized and comprehensive care during pregnancy. At Greenwood Integrative Health and Midwifery, we schedule appointments every four weeks during the first trimester, every two weeks during the second, and then increase the frequency to every week during the third trimester. However, we do offer flexibility based on the client's needs and preferences. We encourage clients to communicate with the midwives throughout their pregnancy and to reach out if they have any concerns or questions.
